YWA 2022 Kick-off meeting

Join us on February 10 from 7pm -8pm EST for updates and news, including our new website, changes to the Facebook page, and a discussion on the possibilities for in-person events.

We have lots planned for 2022 so please join and help plan our roster of events, or to say hello and stay connected in your network!

1-Co-Chair updates and YWA finances: 10 mins
2-Social Media presentation by our younger alums (not to miss!) 30 mins
3-Member participation, take turns saying hello and sharing your news, questions, ideas: 20 mins

As we settle into remote/hybrid/in-person working arrangements, Yale Women in Architecture has been taking a close look at future communications. Thanks to a diligent team of younger alumni, Cooper Hall, BA Yale ‘18,  Sophie Potter, BA Yale ‘20, Gioia Connell M Arch ‘20,  and their colleague Madison Silvers, YWA social media platforms are being updated to increase opportunities for alumnae/alumni to connect.

Most importantly, the group’s Facebook page will become private in early 2022. This means that members –  anyone who signs up to join the group –  can enjoy internal posts and conversations germane to their lives and careers within the security of a closed network. It will be a great place to showcase recent work, post jobs, and do outreach/mentoring.

The website yalewomeninarchitecture.org will be updated to include the recordings of past events. YWA’s Instagram page (@yale.women.in.architecture), now with almost 1200 followers and has a terrific summary of our in-person and remote events.
