The Last gathering at the Rubin

  • The Rubin Museum of Art 150 West 17th Street New York, NY, 10011 United States (map)

Please join YWA for conversation and networking.

The Rubin is permanently closing its doors on October 6, 2024. Celia Imrey (M Arch ‘93), Nathan Rich, M Arch ‘08) and Miriam Peterson (M Arch ‘08) will be giving tours of the spaces they designed.

The Rubin Museum of Art opened its doors in 2004 and is closing them after 20 years to use its resources for traveling programs. The galleries and public spaces were originally designed by Imrey Culbert (Celia Imrey (M Arch ’93). Since its founding in 2013 YWA has hosted Happy Hours at the Rubin, with Celia occasionally giving tours of the spaces. It has been a great venue for conversation and connecting, with all welcome (alumnae, alumni, friends, graduates from other architecture schools, graduates from non-architecture programs). In 2021 Peterson Rich Office (Miriam Peterson (M Arch ’08) and Nathan Rich (M Arch ‘08) inaugurated their designs for the Mandala Lab within the galleries.  Now with the Rubin closing, Celia, Nathan, and Miriam have agreed to give tours of their designs for those interested. Please join us for this final gathering at the Rubin!
